ROCKLAND, MA : Bay Copy, a leading provider of digital document solutions which is celebrating its 47thanniversary, has “gone back to school,” in a manner of speaking.

Ray Belanger, CEO of Bay Copy, is working with Bridgewater State University to have students serve in internship programs at his company. As a result, two college students are learning about the Managed Print Services business this summer with a work program at Bay Copy in Rockland.

Norton, MA resident Cortney Toomey, who will be a senior in the fall and is majoring in Business Management with a minor in Graphic Design, is joined by Gracyn Debonise, who will also enter her senior year at the university in the fall. Gracyn is a Plymouth native who now resides in Wareham, and is studying Marketing and Management with a minor in Public Relations.

The students are learning sales and other aspects of business during their time at Bay Copy, under the direction of the company’s Director of Sales, Sharon A. Mutrie.

Cortney, who is a native of Lunenberg in Central MA, has also managed to do some graphic design work on her own, having designed some menus, logos, and album covers, as well as cornhole boards. Gracyn has helped one of her friends open The Sport Yoga Spot and assisted with the grand opening activities.

Ray Belanger said, “It’s great to have Cortney and Gracyn as part of our Bay Copy team for the summer. We are always pleased to have the chance to help students who will enter the business world with a look at how a business operates. They are bright and engaging individuals who have been a big help to us already in the short time they have been with us.”

Belanger added, “We have found Bridgewater State a pleasure to work with, and we can’t say enough about the value of businesses using interns during the course of the year.”
