The Bangladesh Government today has issued mass evacuation orders in 19 coastal districts to prevent casualties from cyclonic storm ‘Fani’. The cyclone is expected to make landfall in Bangladesh tomorrow after hitting Indian coastlines.

The decision for evacuation has been taken at an emergency inter-ministerial meeting at the Secretariat in Dhaka. Representatives from the military and other armed forces also participated in the meeting.
