Bank of Baroda celebrated Hindi Day in its Corporate Office in order to exhibit its commitment towards the constitutional provisions of Hindi. This function was presided by Mr. M.D. Mallya, CMD of Bank of Baroda. At the outset, Mr. S.K.Jain, Executive Director and Mr. P Srinivas, Executive Director recited the Hindi Day messages of Home Minister and Finance Minister respectively. On this occasion, Mr. R.K. Bakshi, Executive Director said that we should not hesitate to adopt the simple and popular words of other languages in Hindi.
In his inaugural speech, Mr. M.D.Mallya emphasized the importance of Hindi language and said that Hindi language is making significant contributions in the field of banking business and Private Banks as well as Foreign banks are also adopting Hindi and other regional languages in order to expand their banking business in India. He made a fervent appeal to all staff members to make more concerted efforts for progressive use of Hindi in our day to day official work.
On this occasion, he released a Hindi book “Financial Inclusions and Indian Languages” and a CD containing the Hindi version of the eight volumes of Book of Instructions. He felicitated winner staff members of various Hindi competitions and various departments for doing excellent work in Hindi.
