  • Bank of India observes Vigilance Awareness Week

    Mumbai: Bank of India is observing Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) – 2018 from 29.10.2018 to 03.11.2018 on the theme “Eradicate Corruption- Build a New India” coined by CVC for this year’s observance of VAW for various institutions within the ambit of CVC.

    To begin with, about 50,000 staff members of the Bank and customers in India and overseas took integrity pledge devised by the Commission. At Head Office, Executive Director administered the integrity pledge to the Executives of the Bank. Messages of President, Vice President and CVC were also read. Other staff members were administered pledge by department heads. This was followed by various other events/activities undertaken by all offices of the Bank spread across India.

    Bank of India also undertook a ‘Human Chain’ which was formed within the vicinity of BKC, Mumbai comprising of Executives, officers and other staff members of Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Dena Bank and NABARD, displaying placards on eradication of corruption and joining hands for fighting corruption together. Approximately, 1300 employees participated in human chain which covered a distance of about 1.5 to 2 km.
