The West Bengal government has suspended two police officials in connection with the killing of Trinamool Congress MLA Satyajit Biswas in Nadia district.

Suspended police officials are personal bodyguard of Biswas and officer in charge of the local police station.

Departmental proceedings have been initiated against them for the negligence of duty.

A local court in Nadia District has remanded both the officials to 14-day police custody.

CID has already started a probe into the incident. Police have also arrested two persons in this connection.
