The Family Fun Day will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Arsenal Park in Watertown, MA.
The Sunshine Kids Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to children with cancer. Established in 1982, the foundation is committed to providing positive group activities and emotional support for young cancer patients. The Sunshine Kids provides a variety of programs and events, free of charge, for kids who are receiving cancer treatments in hospitals across North America. In 2021, Commonwealth Real Estate and their sister company, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Robert Paul Properties, raised $101,752 for the foundation. The funds were raised through agent and employee contributions and many fundraising activities and events.
The Family Fun Day will feature music, food trucks, cornhole, a candy shuttle, and kids’ activities, including pumpkin painting, sack races, a scavenger hunt, and more. Event sponsors include Needham Bank, Rubin and Rudman LLP, O’Connor & Drew P.C., ESK Homecare, Ligris + Associates, P.C., and Rental Beast. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children ages three to six; there is no charge for children under three. Visit Commonwealth Charities for discounts and family plans. The rain date for this fundraising event is Sunday, October 16, 2022.
