Watertown – Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Real Estate, a full-service real estate brokerage dedicated to providing operational excellence, unparalleled market expertise, and the best customer service experience to home buyers and sellers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, is pleased to announce that the Second Annual Family Fun Day to benefit the Sunshine Kids Foundation is underway.  The Family Fun Day will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Arsenal Park in Watertown, MA.

The Sunshine Kids Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to children with cancer.  Established in 1982, the foundation is committed to providing positive group activities and emotional support for young cancer patients.  The Sunshine Kids provides a variety of programs and events, free of charge, for kids who are receiving cancer treatments in hospitals across North America.  In 2021, Commonwealth Real Estate and their sister company, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Robert Paul Properties, raised $101,752 for the foundation. The funds were raised through agent and employee contributions and many fundraising activities and events.

The Family Fun Day will feature music, food trucks, cornhole, a candy shuttle, and kids’ activities, including pumpkin painting, sack races, a scavenger hunt, and more. Event sponsors include Needham Bank, Rubin and Rudman LLP, O’Connor & Drew P.C., ESK Homecare, Ligris + Associates, P.C., and Rental Beast. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children ages three to six; there is no charge for children under three. Visit Commonwealth Charities for discounts and family plans. The rain date for this fundraising event is Sunday, October 16, 2022.

“We are honored to continue the tradition of giving back to this amazing organization that supports kids battling cancer,” said George Patsio, a Managing Partner of Commonwealth Realty Group, LLC. “The Sunshine Kids Foundation is deeply rooted in our company’s culture. This fundraising event allows us to bring the community and families together to have fun and highlight the impact and importance of the Sunshine Kids.”
