Mangaldai  : In an important breakthrough of Darrang Police in their operation against bike lifters gang recently active in the district three members of a notorious bike lifters gang have been nabbed on Sunday night where as two stolen new bikes have been recovered from their possession. A police team of Mangaldai Police Station following the direction of Superintendent of Police, Amrit Bhuyan raided  the house and residence of Mithun Boro at Dolonghat and managed to recover a stolen brand new motorbike. On the basis of his confession two other members of the gang most wanted Bipul Sarma of Sarabari and Abhijit Deka of Bezpara have been nabbed along with another stolen bike. The arrested Bipul Sarma had earlier been put behind the bars for several occasions. The interrogation of the arrested criminals have been still on to acquire more information. It may well be mentioned here that the gang has recently made Darrang Police pass sleepless nights as several bikes have been lifted from public places of the district including Bank, financial and educational institutions among others.
