New Delhi:  BJP  on Tuesday  slammed the Congress party for its comments in the wake of Pathankot terrorist attack and called them irresponsible. Briefing media in New Delhi, party spokesperson Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said this must be the first such instance in country’s history when a party is busy spreading falsehoods when an operation is still going on.

He urged Congress to keep country’s security away from political rivalry. Mr Naqvi said all the questions raised by the opposition party on Prime Minister’s talks with his counterpart Nawaz Sharif in Ufa have already been answered by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in Parliament last month.

Earlier, Congress had said the Pathankot attack is not only an act of terror but an attack on India. Party leader Anand Sharma had asked what assurance was given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that made him visit Lahore last month. He also wanted to know what was the understanding that convinced Mr Modi that entire establishment of Pakistan was supporting and endorsing resumption of dialogue process between the two countries.
