BJP chief Amit Shah will arrive in Kerala today on a day-long visit to gear up the party for the 2019 general elections.
After arriving in Thiruvananthapuram in the morning, Mr Shah will attend a party core committee meeting and also address leaders from selected districts. He will also hold discussions with the leaders from Lakshadweep.
Mr Shah’s visit assumes significance in the wake of uncertainty continuing over the selection of the party’s new state president after the appointment of incumbent Kummanam Rajasekharan as the Governor of Mizoram in May.
