A BJP delegation met Election Commission in New Delhi yesterday and demanded re-polling in some areas particularly in West Bengal.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, senior party leader and Union Minister Piyush Goyal accused TMC chief Mamata Banerjee of threatening BJP candidates and workers.
He said the party has urged the Commission to take cognisance of the matter.
He said there is a possibility of violence in West Bengal during and after counting of votes and central forces should be there till Model Code of Conduct is in force.
The BJP also appealed to the poll panel to ensure sanctity of counting process in Odisha, West Bengal, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
