Guwahati : The BJP has started a big game ahead of the next assembly elections in Assam. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Bodoland People’s Front (BPAPP) alliance has reached the brink of collapsing before the assembly elections in Assam in March-April next year. Both the parties which are in power since 2016 with the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP). The BJP has launched a new alliance by removing old allies. It has now decided to form a government on Bodoland in conjunction with the hardline United People’s Party Liberal Party. In 2016, the BJP had aligned with the Bodoland People’s Party, BPF and is running the government in Assam so far. But the BPF party in Bodoland has not been able to get a majority in the Regional Council elections, the election results of which have been announced late tonight. So, the BJP has started a coalition with UPPL, the party which has won a big win except the BPF. There is a lot of discussion on this subject right now in political palaces. Assam’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, BJP, has formed a new alliance in the state.

Now BJP will rule the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) in conjunction with the hardline United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) and Gana Shakti Party (GSP). In the recent BTC elections, UPPL has got 12 seats, BJP 9 and GSP one seat. Voting was held on 7th and 10th December in 40 seats. There were results late tonight. State Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said bjp, UPPL and GSP will be new partners and all together form a coalition government in bodoland regional council. He said, the student leader will be the head of pramod Boro Bodoland Regional Council. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president JP Nadda has congratulated all the winning members and BJP workers. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also congratulated the chief Minister of nda leaders on forming a new alliance in the state and said that the NDA has achieved an easy majority in the BTC elections. Let us say that the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), which ruled BTC in the 40-seat Bodoland Regional Council elections, has emerged as the largest party but has failed to win 21 seats needed for a majority. He has won only 17 seats. In 2015, he got 20 seats, which is three less this time. The terrorist-turned-politician-led organization has emerged as the largest party in this election. There was a coalition between THE BPF and the BJP in the last election.

This time, the BJP has not only adopted the policy of the Once walk but has put the former ally BPF on the sidelines by giving a stiff bump and forming a new alliance. The BPF has won 17 seats while UPPL and BJP have won 12 and 9 seats. The Congress and the GSP occupied one seat each. Chief Minister Sonowal held a meeting with bjp leaders including Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and party president Ranjit Das at the city’s Lily Hotel with newly elected members along with UPPL chief Pramod Boro and sealed the deal before formally announcing the pre-election alliance. Earlier, BPF chief Hagrama Mohleri had urged the BJP to support the formation of a council. However, the BJP refused to form a government in Bodoland with its ally BPF and decided to join hands with UPPL. Mention that BJP came to power for the first time with the help of 2016 BPF. The Regional Team with strong presence in bodo dominated districts of Kokrajhar, Udlaguri, Baksa and Chirang has 12 MLAs and three ministers in the Sonowal cabinet. Bjp has 60 and AGP 14 MLAs in the 126 assembly constituency. The differences between the BJP and the BPF had increased when the BTC elections were postponed due to the corona epidemic in March and the area under the Council was brought under the governor’s rule.
