    Guwahati :Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi on Wednesday announced to launch a mass agitation at Dispur in Guwahati on December 5, Thursday, as a mark of protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.The Indigenous Forum, Assam led by ULFA (pro-talk) faction leaders Anup Chetia and Mrinal Hazarika and human rights activist Lachit Bordoloi also also supported to akhil gogoi.peaking to reporters, Gogoi said, “Under no circumstance can the anti-indigenous people CAB be accepted by our State as 1.9 crore Hindu Bangladeshis will come to Assam and threaten the existence of the Assamese language besides taking up the jobs, rendering the local people unemployed.”Addressing the media here today, Akhil Gogoi said, “The people of Assam will not accept the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill under any circumstance.

    To oppose the Centre’s move of amending the Citizenship Act, the KMSS will launch a mass agitation in Dispur.He called upon all the stakeholders of the society to fight against the Bill that he alleged is creating a “rift” in the state and is a threat to the identity of the indigenous people of Assam. The KMSS chief also mentioned that the organization has received permission from the commissioner’s office to stage the mass agitation tomorrow, and sought support from the people and urged them to participate. Gogoi also mentioned that the KMSS will visit all the remote villages of the state from December 11 onwards, to spread awareness among the people.KMSS has also planned to organize mass gatherings at different places of Assam by raising banners such as, “BJP Hatao Desh Bachao”, “BJP Hatao Ganatantra Bachao”, “BJP Hatao Assam Bachao”, and “BJP Hatao Assamese Jaati Bachao”.
