New Delhi: BJP on Monday alleged that the Malda incident in West Bengal is a planned action and not a communal reaction.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi party spokesperson Siddharth Nath Singh said, the attack on Kaliachak police station was aimed at destroying evidence.
He said this is a national security issue and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee should answer on this issue.
He asked why the West Bengal has not made any effort to stop opium plantation which is flourishing in Malda.
He said the party members will meet home minister Rajnath Singh and seek investigation into the incident by an appropriate agency.
He also informed that the BJP delegation will meet President Pranab Mukherjee very soon on this matter.
