Mumbai: BJP president Amit Shah will meet Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai this evening. Mr Shah will meet Mr Thackeray at 6 PM at Matoshree, the Sena Chief’s residence.

The meeting takes place after recent bypolls in which BJP and Shiv Sena contested separately in Maharashtra. The meeting is considered BJP’s efforts to reach out to its sulking allies. Mr Shah is scheduled to meet Shiromani Akali Dal Chief Prakash Singh Badal in Chandigarh tomorrow.
BJP President is in Mumbai today as part of his party’s “Contact for Support” campaign. He will meet singer Lata Mangeshkar, industrialist Ratan Tata and actor Madhuri Dixit and will share Modi government’s achievements with them.
Mr Shah is also scheduled to meet sporting legend Milkha Singh in Chandigarh tomorrow. BJP launched a mega public drive, ‘sampark for samarthan’, following the Modi government’s fourth anniversary on May 26.
