  • Bodo teacher’s meet cum awareness programme in BTAD

    Kokrajhar : A teacher’s awareness programme cum Bodo medium teacher’s meet was organized by the Bodo Sahitya Sabha in collaboration with department of Education, BTC at Debargaon Higher Seconary school in Kokrajhar today.

     

    BTC deputy Chief Kampa Borgoyary attended the programme and graced the occasion as chief guest.

     

    Teachers from different schools, representatives from various Bodo organizations like All Bodo Students Union(ABSU),  Boro Somaj,  Bodo Primary Teachers Association, Writers, intellectuals, social activists attended the programme.

     

    The meet discussed on various issues related to the Bodo medium education and upliftment of Bodo medium education, better results in Bodo medium education across the state.

     

    Bodo Sahitya Sabha president Toren Boro, BSS General secretary Praanta Boro, Director of Education BTC Rabisankar Borgoyary, ex-president of All Assam Tribal Sangha Ranjit Kumar Borgoyary, principals and headmasters of different schools and other attended the programme.

     

    Alking to Reporters, BSS General secretary Prasanta Boro said that the Bodo Sahitya Sabha is taking a series of teachers awareness programme covering the four district of BTAD in collaboration with department of Education, BTCto discuss on the issues related to problems of Bodo medium schools and education and to find a solution through the discussion. He said the Sabha will held a series of meeting in 17 no of elementary education block office in the four districts of BTAD till 30th July next beginning today.

     

    On the problems of Bodo medium education, he said a large number of Bodo medium schools in both elementary and secondary level have been facing various problems specially the Pupil-Teacher Ratio (PTR) has been decreasing day by day and the process of amalgamation and merger of schools have challenged the existence of the Bodo medium schools.
