  • Bodoland International Paragliding Accuracy Championship

    Kokrajhar: The 1st Bodoland International Paragliding Accuracy Championship, 2019 kick started at Dangdufur Hill in Assam’s Kokrajhar district with various colorful programme.

    Assam Social Welfare Minister Pramila Rani Brahma today ceremonially flagged off the competition in presence of Deputy chief of BTC Kampa Borgoyary, BTC Executive Member Doneswar Goyary, BTC Principal secretary Biren Chandra Phukan, Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Partha Pratim Majumdar, SP Rajen Singh among other.

    Organised by the Tourism department, Bodoland Territorial Council(BTC) to promote adventure tourism, total 68 pilots, including 7 female from 9 countries like China, Japan, Hongkong, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia Nepal, apart from India are participating in the championship.

    Inaugurating the championship minister Pramila Rani Brahma said Bodoland region has huge potential for tourism. She said the event will go a long way in emboldening the tourism potential and promotion of adventure sports in Bodoland region.

    The championship will continue till 14th November 2019. The winner will wake away with prize money of Rs 2 lakhs.
