  • Bonito Designs ropes in international talent to India, appoints Designer Gabriel Gil as its Senior Design Mentor

    BangaloreBonito Designs, India’s most promising interior designing brand, has recently announced the appointment of Gabriel Gil as its Senior Design Mentor. Gabriel, who was previously working at ASTAD Project Management in Qatar, brings on board 25+ years of industry experience. In his new role at Bonito Designs, the seasoned professional will be responsible for bolstering brand visibility, creating a unique design language as well as driving the company’s business growth. He is also tasked with overseeing the talent acquisition process and building efficiency in the core design team

    Throughout his professional career, Gabriel Gil has held multiple hands-on leadership and responsibility positions across industries like Hospitality, Corporate, and Residential Design & Construction. He has experience of working in Europe, North America, the Caribbean and the Middle East. Between the years 2010-2019, Gabriel was overseeing and managing the development of iconic hotels and flagships buildings in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Doha, Qatar.

    Some of the most notable projects managed by Gabriel include – Hotel Ritz in Madrid; San Roque Club in Marbella; Marriott Hotels in Puerto Rico; Sandals Resorts in Cuba; Gran Hotel La Florida, in Barcelona; Radisson Blu Hotel in Madrid; Hilton Hotel & Apartments in Riyadh KSA along with Corporate offices like CMA Tower in Riyadh and QP Headquarters in Doha. Prior to joining Bonito Designs, he was responsible for handling Qatar Petroleum’s projects. After completing his B.Arch degree from UM Buenos Aires, Argentina, he went on pursue Doctorate Courses in Architecture at ETSAM, Madrid and Masters on Urban Design at Alcala de Henares University.

    Bonito Designs recently collaborated with AIESEC to create knowledge-sharing platform for national and international designers. Bonito is also partnering with reputed academic institutions like NIFT and LISAA to include its unique ‘Design philosophy and processes’ in their curriculum to ensure the budding designers are industry-ready. By associating with such academic brands, the startup is looking to establish its position in the entire design fraternity while reaching out to a niche design-centric market.
