Synopsis:
The film is a journey through America, and through its past, hoping to discover why its pursuit of happiness is so riddled with violence. From a look at the Columbine High School security camera tapes to the home of Oscar-winning NRA President Charlton Heston, from a young man who makes homemade napalm with The Anarchist’s Cookbook to the murder of a six-year-old girl by another six-year-old, “Bowling for Columbine” examines the whole of USA.
Review:
“Both hilarious and sorrowful.” – Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times
“Terrific… A rambunctious, disturbing, and often hilarious autopsy of American gun culture. Columbine has loads of entertainment value.” – Richard Corliss, Time
“Screamingly funny one moment and unexpectedly moving the next.” – New York Post
“It may be one of the most effective political/polemic films ever.” – Michael Wilmington, Chicago Tribune
