    Kokrajhar: The All BTC Bengali Youth Student’s Federation on Thursday staged a 2 hour sit-in-dharna near  Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner office in Kokrajhar seeking permanent solution to their various issues including the D-voters problem and stop harassment of Hindu Bengalis peoples in the name of D-voters.

    Around a hundred activists of the Bengali federation with banner, placards participated the dharna and shouted slogans,  demanding solutions to the problems of the Hindu Bengali people in Assam.

    A memorandum was submitted to the chief minister of Assam through the Deputy Commissioner Office Kokrajhar seeking permanent solution   to their various issues and demands.

    Shyamal Sarkar, adviser of the BTC Bengali Youth Student’s Federation said despite having legal and proper documents, the Hindu Bengalis peoples are being harassed in the name of D-voters.

    The student leader demanded to stop harassment of Hindu Bengalis peoples in the name of D-voters in the state and unconditional inclusion of names of Hindu Bengalis in the NRC final draft.
