Cabinet approves Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said on Thursday that the Prime Minister will chair the National Steering committee on Irrigation.
Addressing newspersons on the cabinet decisions taken on Wednesday, the minister informed that 50,000 cr rupees will be spent over 5 years on Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana .
Jaitely added that the aim of the irrigation scheme is to irrigate every field.
He also said that the Cabinet has approved National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the PM will head National Council on skills.
During the briefing, Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh said that Rs. 200 cr has been allocated for creation of National Agriculture Market.
