Campaigning has intensified for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections to be held on Thursday in 97 constituencies, spread over 13 States and Union Territories, will go to polls.
Top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP Chief Amit Shah, Congress President Rahul Gandhi and BSP Chief Mayawati, are holding public meetings to garner support for their candidates.
Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, the NDA government is committed to the development of all people.
Addressing Vijay Sankalp rally at Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh this afternoon, he said, government schemes are giving benefits to all under the principle of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas without any discrimination.
Mr Modi said, the NDA government is committed to eradicating terrorism, corruption and poverty while the opposition parties want to remove him.
Applauding Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the Prime Minister said that Babasaheb was a great economist, writer and social reformer.
Addressing a rally in Moradabad city of the state ton Sunday his evening, The Prime Minister said that if BJP comes to power again there will be no limit of 5 acres in the Kisan Saubhagya scheme.
Mr Modi said that he knows that sugar mills are delaying the payment of cane farmers of the region and assured that every single rupee of dues will be given to farmers back.
On the issue of triple talaq, the Prime Minister said that the bill in this regard will again be presented in parliament if BJP comes to power again.
Earlier, at a rally in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr Modi said BJP is committed to settling Kashmiri Pandits at their native places in Kashmir and the work has started in this direction.
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held a roadshow at Silchar in Assam.
This was her first campaign outside Uttar Pradesh for the General Elections. She was campaigning for the party candidate from the Silchar constituency.
Addressing people during the roadshow, Priyanka said, Congress granted special status to Assam but the BJP removed it after assuming power. She said, there are many issues in Silchar that have not been solved by this government.
Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has said, the SP-BSP -RLD alliance has been formed to bring great transformation in the country.
Speaking at an election rally in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, he criticised policies of central and state government and said that his government had worked for the overall development of the people.
He said, Dalits, farmers and poor of the country are still waiting for the justice even after so many years of independence.
BSP chief Mayawati said that both the Congress and the BJP have misused the CBI and ED to drag Opposition parties into false cases.
Addressing a public meeting in Janjgir-Champa district in Chhattisgarh, Mayawati questioned the Congress over non-implementation of its proposed NYAY scheme in the party-ruled states including Chhattisgarh.
She also said, demonetisation and faulty implementation of GST has resulted into loss of jobs and spike in poverty in the country.
The BSP chief said, if voted to power, a government of the SP and the BSP would provide work to each and every person, and ensure generation of jobs in government and private sectors.
