CBI has arrested a Joint Commissioner and an Inspector of the Income Tax Department in New Delhi in an alleged corruption case. According to a press release by the CBI Arun Gurjar, a 1999 batch Indian Revenue Service officer and Baljit Singh, Inspector, were arrested on Wednesday evening following a complaint from a grain merchant. Baljit Singh was apprehended while accepting a bribe of 2 lakh rupees from the complainant at the office of Gurjar.
