  • CBI registers case against army officials in milk supply scam

    New Delhi: Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI has registered a case of cheating against three army officials who headed Military farm in Pune for allegedly causing loss of over 2 crore rupees to the exchequer in the supply of milk by a dairy. CBI sources said, case has been registered against one Colonel and two Lieutenant Colonels who were posted as officers in charge of Military farm, Pimpri, Pune, during different periods between 2009 and 2012. The agency said, three army officials allegedly entered into criminal conspiracy with the proprietor and other unknown persons and made fraudulent payments to a private company against the supply of milk by a dairy in Pune to the Military farm. It said, the alleged fraudulent payments caused loss of over 2 crore rupees to the Military farm under the Defence Ministry.

    Searches were  conducted on the premises of suspects at Pune, Jammu, Kolkata, Kota and New Delhi
