CBI registers cases on allegations of custodial death of traders in Kovilpatti, Tamil Nadu

CBI has registered two cases on the allegations of custodial death of two traders in Kovilpatti District on the request of Tamilnadu Government.
CBI has taken over the investigation of these cases registered at Kovilpatti East police station in Turicorin district of Tamil Nadu.
Our correspondent reports, a team has been constituted by CBI. The team is proceeding with the investigation. The father and son were allegedly killed in police custody for keeping their shop open beyond permissible time during lockdown.
