As an Emergency Medicine Resident, I see the dedication that doctors put into taking care of their patients every single day. I am privileged to learn and observe from the healthcare staff, who bravely marched out onto the field to combat COVID-19. As someone on the frontline during the pandemic, I witnessed the unbreakable courage and heartwarming compassion of my colleagues whose support was vital in tiding over such turbulent times. I am incredibly honoured to be a part of such a devoted profession, and I owe it to my fellow doctors throughout the world.

At St. George’s University, School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, we are taught that being a doctor is not just a profession, it is a way of serving mankind.
