As we celebrate 97 years of the legendary filmmaker this year, Zee Classic is all set to take you through the cinematic world of Guru Dutt with some handpicked hits every Saturday! The revolutionary filmmaker was known for his creative play with shadow and light, evoking an array of emotions on the celluloid that continue to intrigue decades after his death. Coming this week, your Saturdays are going to be directed by none other than visionary Guru Dutt as Zee Classic premieres some of his best work every Saturday at 10pm from 30th July to 17th September.

    “Agar Shatranj ki baazi jeetni ho to das dimag se nahin ek dimag se khelna chahiye” this memorable dialogue from India’s first ever Bombay Noir introduced by Guru Dutt with his iconic film Baazi. Relive the nostalgic thrill with the telecast of Baazi on 30th July at 10pm. Up next we have the film that gave us Mumbaikars our ultimate anthem – Yeh hai Bombay Meri Jaan, witness the unlimited charm of Dev Anand and Waheeda Rehman with the telecast of CID on 6th August at 10pm. Get ready to hum your heart out on the witty number – Babuji Dheere Chalna with the telecast of Aar Paar on 13th August at 10pm.

    Introducing light humor with an emotional arc to the Indian audience, Guru Dutt and Madhubala’s striking chemistry gave an ultimate comical spectacle – Mr & Mrs 55. Catch the telecast on 20th August at 10pm. Sometimes drama is all we need to up the excitement on a lazy Saturday.
