  • Centre announces special package of Rs 200 cr for frost-affected farmers of MP

    The central government has sanctioned a special package of 200 crore rupees for the frost affected farmers of Madhya Pradesh. Minister of state in prime minister’s office V Narayansaami gave this information in Bhopal last night. He said despite state’s BJP ruled government’s failure to furnish utilization certificate of the first installment of 147 crore rupees it received from the centre, prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has also sanctioned second installment of 224.6 crore rupees for the state under calamity relief fund. AIR Bhopal correspondent reports that Mr. Narayansaami, along with in charge of Madhya Pradesh Congress B K Hariprasad, arrived last night in Bhopal to request state congress president Suresh Pachori to end his five day fast. After this announcement Mr. Pachori expressed gratitude towards centre and ended his fast. Earlier yesterday Dr. Manmohan Singh had spoke to Mr. Pachori and requested him to break his fast.
