The Central government has unearthed decade-long scam of Rs 90000 crore with the implementation of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday.

He was addressing the Jan Abhaar Rally at  Dharamshala of Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district on the occasion of completion of one year of the BJP Government in power in the State.

While addressing the rally Prime Minister stated, six crore bogus persons were getting money in the name of pensions meant for widows, aged and disabled persons and this scam of Rs 90000 crore could be unearthed with the implementation of Direct Benefit Transfer scheme.

He said Congress is misleading the farmers in the name of waiving off their loans as it had misled soldiers in the name of implementing ‘One Rank, One Pension’.

Congratulating Chief Minister Jairam Thakur Prime Minister remarked that state government has taken several initiatives to benefit every section of the society by launching various welfare schemes at the doorsteps of the general public.
