GVK-led Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) managing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has become the first airport in the country to initiate the sanitization and fumigation of cargo-carrying road vehicles. CSMIA has partnered with All India Transporters Welfare Association (AITWA) to responsibly disinfect and fumigate all cargo transportation vehicles arriving at and departing from the airport premises.

With this initiative, the airport treats all these vehicles with disinfection fog to neutralize any contagions entering the airport premise. Furthermore, the airport is also securing the safety of the vehicle drivers with the thorough sanitization of the cargo goods and the vehicle as well as the providing of essential PPEs and food for their wellbeing.

CSMIA takes pride in maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation for everyone at the airport. With this unique and first-of-its-kind initiative in the country, CSMIA has set the bar on extending safety measures outside its borders as well.
