New Delhi: Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti has said the Centre had sought a report from the Chhattisgarh Government on the proposed barrage projects on the upstream of the Mahanadi river, which the Odisha Government has been opposing vehemently. Replying to a local TV channel in New Delhi yesterday, the Minister said steps would be taken only after the report is received from the Chhattisgarh Government. She further said she was fully aware of issue and would take necessary steps as soon as she receives the report.
