In Chhattisgarh, today was the last day for filing of nominations for the second phase of elections in 72 constituencies.
Our correspondent reports,on last day of filing nominations for second phase of assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, senior leaders of Congress Satya Narayan Sharma, Tamradwaj Sahu and other candidates filed their nominations.
Yesterday all candidates of Bhartiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi party for 72 assembly segments of the state, which are going for poll in second phase, had filed their nomination papers.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place tomorrow and the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is November five.
In last assembly elections in the year 2013, one thousand eighty two aspirants had filed their nomination papers from these 72 constituencies.
Chhattisgarh has 90 constituencies and assembly elections are scheduled to be held in two phases on November 12 and 20.
