Haflong : At a time when entire populace of Dima Hasao and other places have been demanding CBI enquiry and exemplary punishment to the culprit involved in the Santosh Hojai killing, the transfer of Dima Hasao SP and DSP has drawn wide spread condemnation and criticism from every quarters of society.

 

Reacting to the government’s order of transfer of Dima Hasao SP Bir Bikram Gogoi and DSP Surjyakanta Morang Jadikhe Naisho Hosom Working President Ranjoal Hakmosa said we have been demanding justice in the matter of kidnapping and killing Santosh Hojai but the government instead of delivering justice has transferred SP and DSP.

 

Dimasa Students’ Union, (DSU) General Secretary Pramith Sengyung has condemned the government transfer order of SP and DSP while saying that transfer of SP and DSP at this juncture was not justified since we have been demanding CBI enquiry in to the matter of Santosh Hojai’s kidnapping and killing in which involvement of DSP was alleged by Hojai’s wife in the FIR at Harangajao Police Station. Therefore we are bound to go stronger agitation very soon.

 

Uttam Langthasa, President, All Dimasa Students’ Union (ADSU) Dima Hasao District Committee also of the opinion that government should not transfer both the SP and DSP as the entire public have been demanding CBI enquiry and exemplary punishment to the culprit involved in the killing of Hojai so that none can dare to do such heinous crime by anyone be it police personal or general public. Langthasa also said transfer of SP and DSP is eyewash for the public but people are adamant to raise the voice against such injustice in democratic manner and it will continue till the justice is delivered.

Dilip Nunisa, President, Halali Progressive Welfare Society said that the  Halali Progressive Welfare Society strongly criticized the double standard policy of government as instead of arrest of DSP S K Morang it has transferred him to Katlichera Hailakandi district of Assam amidst 36th hrs Dimaraji Bandh.

The HPWS Haflong has determined and resolved to sit in peaceful Dharna in front DC office Haflong, demanding 1.Immediate arrest of alleged and accused DSP SK Morang and his gang. 2. Immediate implementation of Memorandum of Settlement signed in between governments of Assam, India and DHD on 8th October 2012.

The HPWS expressed its gratefulness to all the citizens of Dima Hasao district in particular and  citizens of different districts of proposed Dimaraji areas Assam, India  in general for their co operation  and support to make the bandh a grand success.
