Clerc & Associates owner Marc Clerc admitted to New Hampshire bar; plans expansion of law practice into New Hampshire

Lakeville resident Marc Clerc, owner and founder of the law firm Clerc & Associates, P.C., has been admitted to the New Hampshire Bar and is now licensed to practice law in the State of New Hampshire.

Attorney Clerc has been the head of his own firm, Clerc & Associates, P.C.  for the past 23 years. The practice maintains headquarters in South Easton, MA. Clerc & Associates specializes in business law, specifically the purchase and sale of businesses and commercial real estate, choice of entity decisions, commercial leases, partnership agreements, and general contracts.

Attorney Clerc, a resident of Lakeville, MA, also owns a home in Bartlett, NH. With his licensure in New Hampshire, he said he plans to expand his law practice in the Bartlett/North Conway area, also with an emphasis on business law.

“There is an increase in the sale and purchase of businesses, particularly as the Baby Boomer generation prepares to transition,” he said, adding, “And there are many reasons that business owners need legal counsel for their planning. We look forward to helping business owners with their legal needs in New Hampshire as we will continue to do in Massachusetts.”

Prior to founding Clerc & Associates, P.C., he spent eight years at Eastern Bank, where his duties included oversight of regulatory compliance and dealing with the bank’s external counsel.

Attorney Clerc is a graduate of the New England School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree. He earned his undergraduate degree at Boston College.

He serves on the Board of Trustees for the New Bedford based Global Learning Charter Public Schools, and in his spare time, he enjoys hiking and is a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club. He also enjoys skiing, running, mountain biking and other outdoor activities. He and his wife Kerry are parents to two children, Marielle and Tim.
