Haflong : Following the completion of 15 days workshop cum training of Dimasa dance & Khram muri under Chief Minister’s Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana, the closing ceremony was held at Dibarai Mahila Samity on Saturday.
The ceremony was attended by Kumud Ranjan Kemprai, Chairman, Dibarai Village Committee as the chief guests while P Jeme, Cultural Development Officer, Anjit Jidung, Joint Director, Cultural & Publicity, Loni Naiding, President, Dibarai Mahila Samity, Anup Biswas, President, Haflong Press Club attended as the guests of honour along with Instructors and guardians of the students.
Trainees of different age groups who were under gone training for last fifteen days performed beautiful dances with the tune of Khram and Muri.
All the speakers appreciating the participants, the organizers and the instructors stressed importance on such workshop and training particularly for traditional dances etc.
P Jeme, Cultural Development Officer in his speech explained the aims and objective of the scheme and informed that the department would organize such workshop for all the communities living in the district in phase manner.
Bina Hakmosa of Dibarai Mahila Samity offered her heartfelt thanks to all who have directly or indirectly helped a lot for the grand success of the event.
All the participants of this workshop cum training were given certificates.
Earlier all the guests were felicitated with traditional ‘ Risa’ by the members of the Dibarai Mahila Samity.
