  • CM of Sikkim inaugurates Durga Mandir at Tadong Constituency

    New Delhi   : Chief Minister of Sikkim Prem Singh Tamang accompanied by Area MLA of Upper Tadong Assembly Constituency G.T Dhungel inaugurated the newly constructed Sri Sri Durga Mandir at 6th Mile, Tadong, East Sikkim on the auspicious occasion of 4th day of Navratri today.

    He offered his prayers and took blessings of  goddess Durga on behalf of all Sikkimese people.

    “I take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy and prosperous Dasain in advance. May Maa Durga shower her choicest blessings on Sikkim and the Sikkimese people,” CM said.

    Area MLA Dhungel stated, “This was a long drawn dream of the people of 6th mile to establish a Durga Mandir here, which has now turned into a reality. They have been offering prayers and celebrating Durga pujas here since 1971, on a small altar and after 51 years of wait an altar was converted into a grand Devotional Center as Sri Sri Durga Mandir.”
