
New Delhi : The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang, had the honour of receiving Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Dr. Nishikant Dubey, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Communications and Information Technology, at his official residence on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
During the meeting, Dr. Dubey apprised the Chief Minister of the ongoing study visit undertaken by the Parliamentary Standing Committee to Guwahati, Siliguri, and Sikkim. The objective of this visit is to engage with regional stakeholders and to evaluate the on-ground implementation of key digital initiatives and policies related to communications and information technology across the region.
The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to Dr. Dubey and all esteemed members of the Committee, expressing hope that their visit will be both fruitful and impactful in advancing digital governance and connectivity in the region.
The meeting underscored the importance of continued collaboration between the State and the Centre to accelerate the pace of digital transformation and ensure inclusive access to digital services for all citizens of Sikkim.
