
Bengaluru – The CMR Institute of Technology Bengaluru successfully hosted CMR Cultura 24, a vibrant fusion of music, art, cultural displays, and tech innovation, drawing participants from across the country. Over 10,000 students from 70+ colleges competed in more than 50+ events during the two-day festival held at CMRIT’s ITPL campus.
Cultura 2024, the annual inter-college cultural and tech festival, is a celebration of technology and art. This entirely student-organized event spanned two days, from June 21st to June 22nd. The festival’s agenda was to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents and boost their confidence.
The festival brought vibrancy, joy, and knowledge sharing, covering the latest trends in art, music, academics, and technology. Inaugurating the ceremony Principal Dr.Sanjay Jain remarked, “The excitement of hosting an event with thousands of students coming together is about building enthusiasm and nurturing budding talents. Our main objective is to provide an equal platform for students to showcase their skills and boost their confidence through a variety of competitions. These experiences help students develop essential communication, leadership, and teamwork skills necessary to face real-world challenges.”
Events during Cultura 24 include a variety of exciting activities such as a Fashion Show, Mr. Fit, Food Hunt, Hogothon, Stand-up Comedy, and Poster Making. Gaming events feature Call of Duty, Counter-Strike, NFS, F1 Racing, FIFA, and BGMI. Kannada events include Abhinaya Chakravarthi, KGF, Hemmeya Kannadiga, Ogatina Kurchi, and Kannadada Kuvara. Tech competitions consist of Code Mantra, Code-E-War, Coding Patterns, The Pursuit of Technocrat, Operation Silicon, Robo Race, Circuit Hunt, Cryptography, C-Quiz, and Eco Wars. Additionally, there are activities like DJ, Photography, Art, Music, Theatre, and more.
As the chief guest for the valedictory function of Cultura 24, renowned actor Daali Dhanjaya emphasized that life is full of challenges that should be met with hard work and dedication. He advised using social media constructively, reminding everyone that life extends far beyond it. He stressed the importance of nurturing relationships with family and friends. Captivating the audience with his words, he highlighted that purity, patience, and perseverance are essential qualities. He also felicitated the winners during the event.
Dr. K. C. Ramamurthy IPS (Retd), former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, and Chairman of CMR University and CMR Group of Institutions, emphasized CMRIT’s commitment to supporting students in developing their innate talents and achieving success. He inspired students to organize excellent activities contributing to their overall development.
Sri K. C. Jagannatha Reddy, Secretary of CMRJT, Dr.Raju Reddy, Trustee, writer and director Parameshwar Gundkal, and Vice Principal Dr. B. Narasimha Murthy were also present on the occasion.
