Northern India continues to reel under a cold wave. In Jammu and Kashmir, cold wave showed no signs of relenting. AIR correspondent reports that the minimum temperature recorded in Srinagar was minus 5.9 deg Celsius.
Higher reaches of Uttarakhand experienced snowfall.
Four persons died in different parts of Uttar Pradesh as the cold wave tightened its grip in the state, taking the death toll to 11 in this season.
Cold wave has further tightened its grip over Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.
Churu in Rajasthan was the coldest place in the state with a minimum of 3.7 deg Celsius.
