Congress-JD(S) combine wins two Lok Sabha, two Assembly seats; BJP bags Shimogga parliamentary constituency in K’taka

In Karnataka Congress – JD(S) combine has won two Lok Sabha and two Assembly seats while BJP bagged Shivamogga Parliamentary constituency.

In Ramanagaram Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s wife Anitha Kumaraswamy has been declared winner with a margin of one lakh 9 thousand votes.

In Jamkahandi Anand Siddu Nyamgowda of Congress has been announced the winner with a margin of over 39000 votes.

In Shimogga Lok Sabha seat, B Y Raghavendra of BJP has won by a margin of 52148 votes.

VS Ugrappa of Congress has won with a margin of over two lakh 43 thousand votes in Ballary.

The seat was held by Sriramulu of BJP earlier.

In Mandya Lok Sabha seat, Shivarame Gowda of JD(S) has won by a margin of 3,24,000 votes over his opponent Dr.Siddaramaiah from BJP.

In 2014, the BJP had won 17 of Karnataka’s 23 parliamentary seats. The Congress won 9 and HD Kumaraswamy’s Janata Dal Secular 2 seats.
