Haflong : As a part of nationwide protest against insensitive hike in fuel prices by the government over last 22 days, the Dima Hasao Congress committee held Dharna in front the Assam Oil Depot at Haflong on Monday.

The Congress party workers led by DCC President Nirmal Langthasa criticized the BJP’s non-fulfillment of pre poll promises especially about the price rise which has forced the people of the country to suffer a lot.

Langthasa appealed to the people not to be confused by the false promises of BJP led Government rather they should give befitting reply in the coming election. He also said if people bring the Congress in power they would bring down the price of fuel etc.
