Construction of Mangaldai bypass to start soon -said MP , Dilip Saikia

Mangaldai :: The much sought construction works of the Mangaldai NH bypass with diversion from the busy Mangaldai town is going to start soon. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways ,Nitin Gadkari has recently indicated about such progress in response to a letter by Mangaldai Loksabha MP Dilip Saikia in this regard. In his letter Union Minister, Gadkari said, ” I have got the matter examined and would like to inform you that the proposal for land acquisition of Mangaldai bypass has been included in the Annual plan 2021-22 for the state of Assam and it is under process for sanction.”

” Further I would like to inform that proposal for construction of Mangaldai bypass has also been included in Annual plan 2021-22 and would be considered for sanction after the acquisition of land by the State Govt if Assam. ” Meanwhile talking to media here on July 25 afternoon , MP Saikia said that an amount of nearly Rs 95 crores have been released and the process for distribution of cheques to the land owners whose land is under acquisition will be initiated after the coming Independence day celebration.

” After the process of land acquisition I expect to laying the foundation of the construction of the bypass in October next.” , MP Saikia opined. Earlier MP Saikia held a media interaction over Covid 19 challenges and its management. While delivering his speech he claimed that with the support and cooperation from people of cross section of society including doctors, health workers, scientists, media persons etc. the challenges of Covid 19 are very well managed in the country under the visionary leadership of PM Modi. He said that when the challenges had started in Novemver 2019 , the health infrastructure was not sufficient to properly deal with the situation and since then the progress in the modern health facilities in the country has reached a newer height.

Moreover the Indian scientists developed two indigenous Covid vaccines with which more than forty crore population so far have been vaccinated. “The people from the opposition political parties who initially used to made some negative comments over its efficacy terming it to be Modi vaccines , that section of people now attending the parliament safe with jabs of these vaccines.”, he reiterated. He also hailed the Assam Chief Minister and the then State Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma of managing the Covid onslaught of the state in a much manner by creating 4,000 ICU beds and providing vaccination to more than 85 lakhs people till now. Participating in the interaction journalist Mayukh Goswami raised issues relating to shortage of vaccines and lack of emergency financial aids to the children suffering from loss of their lone earner parent in the wake of the pandemic in Darrang district.
