    Guwahati: The Union Home Ministry announced that full medical examination and scanning is being done at all the land ports of the country including Attari, Kartarpur and Agartala to detect suspected cases of coronovirus among incoming passengers Suspected cases of corona virus could be detected among the visiting public.Home Ministry official sources said today in Guwahati that coronavirus positive tests have been done for medical examination and scanning of the international borders of all northeast India. The four northeastern states of Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Assam have a 1,880-km border with Bangladesh, while Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh have a 1,640-km border with Myanmar, so the medical team is all set for a full international check-up. is ready.The border area and scanning is being done in the country. A spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs said that at all border points, there are well-equipped medical teams which are checking the passengers coming from neighboring countries. He also informed that medical examination is going on at Kartarpur and Attari. A thorough investigation is being carried out at all boundary points and a status report is sent daily.Initially, the investigation was being conducted only at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kochi airports, but now thermal screening of passengers arriving at a total of 31 airports across the country is being done. Said that a Group of Ministers has been formed for monitoring, including Foreign Minister, Minister of Civil Aviation and Minister of State for Home, Minister of State for Shipping and Health and The Minister of State for Family Welfare is involved.The Cabinet Secretary has reviewed daily with all concerned Ministries and other Chief Ministers including State Chief Secretaries of Health, Defense, Foreign Affairs, Civil Aviation, Home, Textiles, Pharma, Commerce etc.
    Currently, the current visa of any foreign national coming from China has been invalidated. Passengers’ investigations have also been initiated at 12 major seaports and all minor ports in the country to identify and isolate passengers and personnel from China.He also said that to ensure availability of important items like Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and N95 masks, their exports have been banned by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade. The buffer stock of personal protective equipment and N95 masks is being kept by the states as well as the central government.
