New Delhi : Costa Coffee has rolled out new design aesthetics for Indian stores, starting with the newly opened outlet Costa Coffee South Ex II (3)at the premier shopping area of South Extension II in New Delhi.

With an aim to strengthen the Indian connect, the new design doctrine called ‘Reload’ will be a mix of Costa’s international design and traditional Indian elements.

The newly launched South Ex 2 store, while based on an international design format called ‘Metropolitan’ (Metropolitan store concept is distinguished by a totally different design aesthetic and fresh look and feel and has been a hit with the youth at Costa stores across the world) incorporates the ‘Reload’ design that while taking inspiration from Costa’s international design formats, incorporates quintessential Indian elements. Some of the Indian elements include lattice/Jali work, ethnic motifs, ‘Indian youth and coffee moments’ imagery on the walls. A unique feature of this format, on display at the South Extension II store, is seating arrangements to accommodate larger groups of people (8-10 people on a single table).

Speaking about the new design format, Mr. Santhosh Unni, CEO, Costa Coffee India said:  “Costa believes that a café has to offer not just good coffee and food but also an environment which is warm and inviting and delightful. Through our new store design ‘Reload’, we are offering Costa customers a brand new ambience that reflects India’s rich design heritage along with great international quality coffee and delectable food menu”.

Costa Coffee entered India in September 2005 through an exclusive master franchisee tie-up with Devyani International Ltd. making it the first international coffee chain to start operations in India. Costa Coffee currently operates over 110 stores across India.
