Raipur: Chhattisgarh :: Culture and Tourism Minister of Chhattisgarh Shri Ajay Chandrakar
On the new responsibility, Shri Ajay Chandrakar, Hon’bl Culture and Tourism Minister, Government of Chhattisgarh said, “It would be our prime aim to establish the Chhattisgarh Football Association as the leading sports association of the state.” He said that apart from the capital Raipur, national level competitions will be held across various locations of the state where national level amenities are available.
Stressing on empowering athletes and sportspersons of the state, Shri Ajay Chandrakar said that essential spends during sports by the coaches and the sportspersons should be given within a stipulated time frame. He also said that a 21 day conditioning camp will be held for all teams before the National Games, and the endeavour will be to organise regular inter-district football tournaments. Shri Chandrakar also said that in the coming one year, every single district of the 27 districts of the state will have a football association.
On Shri Chandrakar’s appointment as the President of Chhattisgarh Football Association, President of Raipur District Football Association Shri Mushtaq Ali, Chief Treasurer Shri Diwakar Thite and President of Chhattisgarh Citizen Action Committee Shri Vishwajeet Mitra, Vice-President Shri Dilip Kshatre and Secretary Shri Amitabh Dixit offered their best wishes.
