Cycle for an educated tomorrow: If Not Me, Then Who: If Not Now, Then When?
Cycle2Serve’11, an initiative by Mumbai-based NGO “Tarang” inassociation with Oberoi Mall and Standard Charted Bank, is a fund-raising event to help underprivileged slum children. It  kicked start from Oberoi Mall today, the 2nd October’2011, from 8 am to 12noon. The idea was to spread awareness about the importance and roleof education in the development of slum children. The theme of theevent was to EDUCATE EACH & EVERY CHILD ON THIS PLANET; it encouragedpeople to do their bit by helping raise funds for the less fortunate.

On the occassion, Nizar Jain, Genereal Manager Oberoi Mall said,”Oberoi mall is proud to be associated with NGO Tarang in buildingawareness about educating the weaker sections of the society. Thecycle rally is  innovative manner to promote the cause amongst the mall shoppers.”

The cause and the national significance of the date of the event 2nd October, 2011, the birthday of father of the nation, made the event a huge success as 70 people cycled to make Baapu’s dream come true.Education is the main lever that gets the other levers moving and helps the machinery of Society to function in a great way.
