    Cyclone Tauktae warning: NDRF deployed 24 teams in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat & Maharashtra

    In view of Cyclone Tauktae warning, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed 24 teams in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and  Maharashtra. DG NDRF, SN Pradhan said that 29 teams are on standby. Meanwhile, India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at a few places with extremely heavy falls at isolated places over Lakshadweep and Kerala and Mahe today.


     
    The Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are also expected to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places. Heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim as well. Tomorrow, thunderstorms with lightning and gusty wind is very likely at isolated places over Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Gujarat, Goa, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Lakshadweep and other areas.


     
    On the 16th of this month, thunderstorms with lightning and gusty wind are likely at isolated places over Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and Lakshadweep. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at a few places over Goa and South Interior Karnataka.


     
    On the 17th of this month, isolated places over Gujarat Region, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Coastal and  North Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep are likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds.
     
    The Weatherman has forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places over Konkan and Goa and heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala while heavy rainfall at isolated places over Saurashtra, Kutch, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. On the 18th of this month, Meteorological Department forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places over Konkan and  Goa, Saurashtra, Kerala and  Mahe.
