    The Cyclone Titli made landfall near Gopalpur in Odisha this morning. Several parts of Odisha are experiencing heavy rain as the Cyclone intensifies. Many trees and electric poles were uprooted and damage caused to the property in Gopalpur area. However, there is no loss of life reported so far. The Bhubaneswar Met office said the Cyclone has crossed the entire Odisha coast.

    Three lakh people have been shifted to multi-purpose cyclone shelters from low line areas. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik visited the Special Relief Commissioner Control Room and directed to take all steps to make zero casualties.

    Meanwhile, the National Disaster Response Force, NDRF has deployed 14 teams in Odisha, four teams in Andhra and three teams in West Bengal along with necessary rescue equipment.

    Additional teams have been put on standby in the respective areas likely to be affected. Army, Navy and coastguard have also been put on standby so that they can be deployed at short notice as per requirement.

    A number of south going trains have been cancelled or route has been rescheduled. The road connection between Brahmapur and Gopalpur has been  cut off at many places. Control Rooms have been opened in Railway Stations at different places.

    Flood is expected in river Rushikulya and Banshadhara in Ganjam District. Some flight services have been cancelled by Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued Red Warnings for  18 districts in Odisha.The State government is closely monitoring the situation to avoid any casualty.
