Georgios Achilleos (CYP) and Andreas Chasikos (CYP) won Gold in the Men’s Skeet Pairs at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range on Monday.

The duo started strongly, with former Gold medalist Achilleos marking a perfect 25 in the first round.

Commonwealth Games debutant Chasikos followed his more experienced teammate, scoring 23 in the first round.

The two scored a total 49 in their second round to assume the top position and Achilleos continued his flawless performance by marking 100 out of a possible 100 points in the session.

The duo claimed the title with a total score of 194 points, maintaining the Cypriots’ dominance of the event, which they have won at every Commonwealth Games since Victoria 1994.

Jason Hughes Caswell (CAN) and Richard McBridge (CAN) took Silver with a total 191 points, including scores of 25 by Caswell in his first and fourth rounds.

England pair Clive Bramley and Richard Brickell, who also marked 191 points, had to settle for Bronze on the countback system, as their final round was inferior to the Canadians
