Danfoss thermostats have ensured reliable cooling for 60 years

Chennai: Mechanical thermostats are a critical component in cooling equipment such as refrigerators, freezers and bottle coolers as they ensure the right temperature for food and drinks in an efficient way. For large cooling equipment manufacturers such as Electrolux and Bosch-Siemens, quality is crucial to ensure both reliability and a strong image, and they buy mechanical thermostats from Danfoss as a result. Danfoss was the first company that fully automated its mechanical thermostat production in Europe back in the 1980s and this is one of the key pillars behind the high level of quality along side in-depth application knowledge.

Stefano Franchini, Purchasing Manager at Electrolux, has cooperated with Danfoss for 20 years now. He says:”Danfoss is our preferred supplier of mechanical thermostats because they deliver high quality everywhere in the world. The thermostats are the brain in our products and therefore quality is very important for us. A key advantage of mechanical thermostats compared to electronic ones is their simple functionality that allows higher quality, freedom in the design and quick service”.

A recent perception survey among 400 of Danfoss’ customers who buy mechanical thermostats confirmed the same picture, as close to 100% of the respondents said they associate Danfoss with high quality and a good image.

Complete plug and play solution is the next step

Based on its solid experience, Danfoss has now, as a new thing, started to deliver a light assembly solution with mechanical thermostats. This means that the cooling equipment manufacturers only have to use one supplier and get a plug and play solution which is easy to install and use. Bosch-Siemens is currently using this solution and Electrolux is interested in trying it out as well.
